Support for culture in actions that promote the region of Leiria | NOV Group

The support for culture by Grupo NOV was recently reflected in two concrete actions, namely with the Leiria Music Festival, organized by Orfeão de Leiria, and with the series “O Crime do Padre Amaro”, whose recordings took place in city of Leiria and surroundings.

Despite the current pandemic context, Orfeão de Leiria organized once again, in different ways than usual, the 39th Music Festival in Leiria, giving the stage to several musicians, dancers and artists, who were so overwhelmingly caught by the pandemic. Grupo NOV joined this initiative, as a partner, supporting some of the shows organized by that institution.

At the same time, support for culture was evident in the recordings of “Crime do Padre Amaro”. Based on the historical novel by Eça de Queirós, “Crime do Padre Amaro” is a series of 6 episodes whose recordings took place in Leiria until the end of August, under the supervision of RTP, with director Leonel Vieira. It was, therefore, with satisfaction that Grupo NOV joined this project recorded in its hometown.

During the recordings, some of its collaborators were present, including as extras. At this time, the series is in production. In any case, this is yet another project that will inevitably bring greater notoriety to Grupo NOV.
