BioSmart takes over cleaning of WWTP drying beds at Águas Públicas do Alentejo | NOV Group

BioSmart secured the award of the works related to the tender, launched by AgdA - Águas Públicas do Alentejo (Alentejo’s Public Waters), called “Acquisition of Cleaning Services for WWTP Drying Beds of the Public System of Integrated Partnership of Águas do Alentejo (SPPIAA)”.

According to the company, from Grupo NOV Ambiente e Energia, the work will take place in stages, over a period of 180 days, in various installations of the system managed by AgdA within the scope of the SPPIAA, and it is expected that work will begin this month of december of 2021.

The public procedure, with a maximum value of 122,400 euros, divided into two lots, estimates the cleaning of 935 tons in lot 1 (total of 8 installations) and 838 tons in lot 2 (13 installations) of sludge to be removed from the beds of drying (using mechanical means of the backhoe/rotary type), respective loading, transport using containers/galleys and forwarding to the Landfill of RNP in Beja.

The service delivery locations are as follows, broken down by Municipality: Torrão WWTP (Alcácer do Sal); WWTP Melides and WWTP Canal Caveira (Grândola); WWTP Cercal and WWTP São Domingos (Santiago do Cacém); WWTP Boavista dos Pinheiros, WWTP Odemira and WWTP São Luís (Odemira); WWTP Póvoa São Miguel, WWTP Moura, WWTP Amareleja, WWTP Sobral da Adiça, WWTP Safara Poente, WWTP Safara Nascente, WWTP Santo Aleixo da Restauração and WWTP Santo Amador (Moura); WWTP Mine São Domingos (Mértola); WWTP Senhora de Aires (Viana do Alentejo); WWTP Cuba (Cuba); WWTP Alvito (Alvito); WWTP Aljustrel (Aljustrel).
