Delegation from the Embassy of Brazil visits Grupo NOV | NOV Group

Grupo NOV received, on the 12th of july, the visit of the Ambassador of Brazil in Portugal, Raimundo Carreiro, accompanied by the Head of the Commercial Promotion Sector of the Embassy, Beatriz Goes.

The entourage was received by the Group´s Board of Directors, namely António Barroca Rodrigues and Joaquim Paulo Conceição. During the visit, all seven business areas of Grupo NOV were presented, with special emphasis on the international area, especially the brazilian market, where the group took the first steps towards internationalization and has been present for practically 25 years.

In Brazil, with two companies linked to the areas of construction, real estate development and ready-mixed concrete, Lizconstruções and Lenobetão, the group operates from Salvador da Baia, having already extended its operations to other neighboring regions of this vast country in Latin America.

Among the activities carried out in Portugal and Brazil, the Ambassador of Brazil focused on the Environment & Energy activity, particularly on the Group´s ability to leverage synergies in the area of urban waste management and sanitation, one of the areas with the greatest lack of infrastructure in Brazil . It should be noted that the country has 5,575 municipalities and, among these, only between 5% and 10% have basic sanitation installed.

The visit also included a visit to the Lenobetão production center in Fátima and the group´s Civil Engineering Laboratory, ECLAB.
