Works to improve the WWTP in S. Pedro de Gafanhoeira | NOV Group

The works referring to the project “Acquisition of Services for the Execution of a Drain and Waterproofing of the Facultative Lagoon of the WWTP of São Pedro da Gafanhoeira”, were awarded to BioSmart – Soluções Ambientais. This WWTP, in the municipality of Arraiolos, is under the management of AgdA – Águas Públicas do Alentejo.

Included in the contracted services are all drain execution works, removal of existing sludge in the lagoon and waterproofing it, as well as forwarding the removed sludge to its final destination.

The work map contemplates six main tasks to be performed in the facultative pond: sludge removal; execution of bottom drainage; regularization of funds and slopes; waterproofing; connecting the drain to the water line; and execution of pumping well.

The WWTP in São Pedro da Gafanhoeira has a treatment line consisting of the entry work with manual harrowing, the optional lagoon targeted by the intervention and the maturation lagoon.

The provision of services will be carried out within a maximum period of 60 days, counting from the date of signature of the contract, and has a maximum value of 72 thousand euros.
