Requalification of Square in Veiros completed by Grupo NOV Engenharia & Construção | NOV Group

The requalification of Largo 25 de Abril de Veiros in Estremoz was a work contracted by the Municipality of Estremoz to the consortium formed by the companies NOV Pro Construções and Lena Engenharia e Construções.

The contract was awarded under a series of prices, for an amount of around 400,000 euros, last july, and was completed this march.

The project intended to provide the public space with features that would allow it to be used by most of the population of Vila de Veiros in the Municipality of Estremoz and its visitors. The space will continue to be the stage for the installation of the traditional “Feira de Ramos”, as well as for future events of the kind.

The total area of intervention was 5,987 m2, and the main works consisted of the execution of a network of infrastructures for the supply of water, wastewater, rainwater, irrigation, firefighting and electrical systems; refurbishment of existing sanitary installations; rehabilitation of the area surrounding the café, through the creation of a patio, terrace and parking; construction of a rest area around the existing fountain and the central water feature to be built; construction of two areas for placing ecopoints; execution of a one-way street, on bituminous pavement, sidewalks in Portuguese pavement and parking in the existing housing area; rehabilitation of the installation zones of the “Feira de Ramos”; creation of a protection strip for the existing school and museum; creation of green spaces; installation of urban furniture; between others.
