Night of tributes and emotions at the Gala of REGIÃO DE LEIRIA

After two years of the pandemic, returning to a concert hall, in itself, would not leave anyone indifferent. However, the performances and the Afonso Lopes Vieira trophies, awarded to five personalities, filled the night of june 3, 2022 with emotion.
The REGIÃO DE LEIRIA Gala, with the theme “Solariedade e Paz” (Solidarity and Peace), took over the José Lúcio da Silva Theater and took five honorees to the stage: Auriol Dogmo, olympic athlete and weight throw record holder who leads the world ranking, with the trophy Sport; singer Sandra Pires, who grew up in Leiria and is based in Austria, with the award Leirienses no Mundo; Maria Inácia Rezola, curator of the 50th anniversary celebrations on April 25th, was distinguished in the Personality category; Yuliya Hryoryeva, leader of the ukrainian community in Leiria, received the Social Responsibility award; and Pedro Biscaia, teacher and former director of Secundária Afonso Lopes Vieira, was honored with the Career trophy.
